The Mavs are now focusing on a Plan B which with various top 2nd tier free-agents off of the market will most likely mean that they will focus on Center Andrew Bynum and veteran Point Guard to help mentor Shane Larkin and Gal Mekel for the next season or two. Also they most focusing on finding a shooter to replace Mayo and try and sign Brandan Wright.
If they have learned anything from the past two off-season is that they need assets that they can use to trade for players as well as have a viable team to help in the recruiting of players as it seems that Dirk, a spend happy owner and Carlisle are enough to draw the highest quality free-agents.
Tomorrow we will do a post focusing on how the Mavs can increase their talent pool while maintaining the cap flexibility for the 2014 Free-Agent market.
